Funeral Costs

If you arrange a funeral, you are responsible for paying the costs. So first, find out where the money is coming from (funeral payments are normally recoverable from the deceased estate).

Remember to check whether the deceased Life Insurance Policy or pension covers funeral costs.

According the market research firm Mintel, the average price of a funeral for 2008 was £2733 (£4600 in London).
